Marvellous and fab location and obliging staff!
Possibly the best and truly memorable stay in February 2015. Downstairs bar, reasonably spacious and bright room with modern bathroom, cupboard plus big hanging closet. Location right by nearby indian resturant and the hotel's gallery. Also, central to Coldstream museum.

Thoroughly enjoyed how little the property was and its affable staff in all areas.

The room felt homely with fresh linens and a clean atmosphere. Breakfast was great. The full Scottish breakfast was delicious and piping hot, keeping me full until lunch. Staff attentiveness during meals was fantastic. The room could use modern touches. I noticed a few outdated features. Limited power sockets made it tricky to charge devices. Noise from the street was a little disruptive at night, but overall, a pleasant experience.

Had a boss overnight stay! The breakfast was amazing, spot on to fill us up, and the staff were dead friendly, making us feel right at home. The only downside, the room could do with a bit of a facelift to liven it up a touch.

I was shocked to return to a room with unmade beds and dirty cups after two nights. The one person at the bar took an hour to clean my room, yet still left rubbish behind. And don't even mention the lack of a complimentary gesture for such an inconvenienced stay. I almost gave a good review, but just couldn't.
